Lardo di Colonnata PGI is found on the market in slices ranging from 250 to 5000 grams, vacuum-packed in plastic or other appropriate material.

The packaging necessarily has to have on its label in clear and readable print, as well as the community graphical symbol, also the product logo and the production batch.

On the pigskin, in correspondence with one of the minor sides of the slice, there has to be the special irremovable red seal that has on one side the logo of designation and on the other a progressive number that guarantees product traceability.

The final retailer will proceed to slice it on the counter taking care to protect its special seal which cannot be reused.
