It is hard to imagine, even for a moment, the Tuscan landscape without its olive trees.

Indeed, olive trees have always been the undisputed protagonist of this territory and the oil made from their precious fruits since time immemorial has been able to describe the exclusive heritage of knowledge, aromas and flavours of the most genuine Tuscan tradition.

This healthy tradition that even before its many virtues had been scientifically acclaimed, such as its strong antioxidant property conferred by the rich presence of polyphenols, which make it particularly ideal for the nutrition of children, widely used olio extravergine di oliva both in its gastronomic specialities and as a widespread remedy in popular medicine, as well as in aesthetic treatments.

And precisely to safeguard this great heritage of values and to guarantee the quality of the product, in 1997 more than ten-thousand agricultural firms gathered under the aegis of the Consortium for the protection of Olio extravergine di oliva Toscano PGI.
